Wow, I forgot how much work polishing aluminium is. Last weekend I didn't get to much polishing, thusly no pictures of Erik in blackface just yet. Been doing a little after work each day, so I haven't had the chance to get completely covered in soot. Tonight I'll go for a spin on the Kawi, I haven't even been on a bike for two weeks,...

I got a good start on the triumph's fork conversion yesterday. I'd never pulled a set of forks apart before, so I wasn't real sure what I'd be in for. The triumph's stock internals are surprisingly simple, a "damper-rod" situation. The CBR internals are of the cartridge type, a little different but still pretty straight-forward. Today at some point I'll be covered in black soot...

I likey the skinny freckled guys. I fell in love with one a few years ago and still like to squeeze his skinny little frame. smile I'd happily wave bandannas at makeout point, it seems like the only civilized way to resolve conflict now a days. confused

A good time was had by all at SG Vegas bowling night. I'll definately come out to future get-togethers. I'm sipping coffee & trying to decide whether to pop the cams back into the triumph or since I'm partially there pull the head & have a go at a minor port job. When I fitted the new carbs I looked down the intake ports, they're...

My sis lived in Ft Collins for 5 years before moving off the mainland, its a cute town huh?
As for Zzyzx road, its a great place for pee breaks and romanic roadtrip interludes. wink
Plus, you can actually see stars out there!

I love Zia records! I got four great video documentaries ten bucks each used. One on the Ramones, One on Motown, one on Marc Bolan. One of Kool Keith interviews, the best answer to a question I don't remember: "Well, I'm like the Al Sharpton of rap, you know."

Hey, I'm actually gonna to to that thing too. One of the guys who's going is a friend of Bill's. I'll introduce you. He just moved here this summer. I'll be going a little later because of work.

Thank you for the words of enouragement, I'm very motivated to do it though. It's engrained in my routines (hence the recently removed portion of my vices...) but time and effort = change.

Bummer, I had not heard.

The good news is that Fats Domino has been found.

Sorry, no, I never got to see either of those bands in Austin. Most weekends I was on the road with another band...

I took my gallon jug of change to the coinstar machine, $427.00, of which I paid about $40 for the service. Last time I sorted out the quartes & took those to a casino. Probably would've saved me $30 this time, but cost me an hour of sorting. I'm off on the Kawi to find a backpack that will hold records, then I'm going record...

Guy I work with went to the Dickies. Haven't heard about MC5 yet. I think they were for the people at MAGIC.

The trip home from Colorado last Sunday started at 5am in the rain & temps in the low 50's. Denver traffic wasn't too bad at 6:00-6:30. A huge rockslide closed off Westbound I-70 at Idaho springs, so I got the scenic detour through the little mining town's main street. Much of the street was torn up for construction, and traffic was stop and go ten...

What news? How's that alloy tank?

I'm packing up to go to Colorado again. I'm going to miss Dinosaur Jr, which bums me out. But I'll be having fun, so no complaints. This time I won't run out of gas, but I'm not going to try to do the 870 miles in 10 hours again. I've got this radar detector set up that has a blinking LED in my helmet, but...

Damn, I've just been fucking EVERYTHING up the last few days. I did something to my computer. The commando tank is fixable, I think. There's no actual creases, & most of the movement seems to have come from underneath. It's a VERY soft alloy, so I think with some coaxing it'll be alright. I probably won't attempt that myself though. Now for the embarassing bit....
