Oh boy, fillings. It's been forever (like high school) since I've had any, so I had it all worked up to a horrifying ordeal in my head. No biggie apparently, duh. This is funny though: I got home & went to look at them in the mirror. What the hell, my inner cheek is all fucked up and bleeding. Apparently I was chewing on it...

that's weird; i think i published in a lit. journal at SUNY in buffalo . . . i'll have to check . . . maybe she was, like, my editor for two seconds.
kenyon:
"Errand #1: Make it the land of a thousand dies./Make it colorful and unmatched./Make it there and make it home./Do not make it your own./Make it in the manner of the old./Make it only with the well-known./Make it boast of its self. "

I just ordered a used copy of her book thru Amazon (weak, as she won't see the profits, but a girl's gotta do . . .)

thanks! i'm psyched.

Dear Santa:
As you know, this year I have been reasonable. I think my behavior should qualify me as "passively good." If you wish to avoid me returning to my usual "actively bad" I would suggest you consider my request. In case your memory is foggy, think back to Hopkins Road Christmas Eve 1981, that was ME. You never expected an ambush from from under...

WHO STOLE MY FAVORITE SUICIDE GIRLS GODDAMNIT?!!!
If you need a front stand for your bike, get one of these. They rock. I pulled the rex's wheels & took 'em in for new tires. While putting them back on I noticed that they didn't take the old weights off before balancing them. They just put more weights 180 degrees from the old ones. It's...

I think my comment was taken the wrong way.... I was just tryin to state that the chinese army has alot of old equiptment, and if they ever wanted to invade the U.S. they would need some serious upgrades..... there are alot of people in the U.S. that have access to the same knowledge as many of the insurgents in iraq...... wasnt tryin to sound like a wildman wink

The shed is painted & hard at work holding bikes & stuff. I got to see Paul McCartney for free last night, which was totally worth the money. Apparently Paul doesn't want to play to any empty seats, and even though it was sold out some folks won't show up. So Paul asked me to do him a favor and just sit in one of...

I have to say this Speed Triple is one of the most comfortable bikes I've ridden. Passenger seats & pegs usually seem like an afterthought on most bikes - either the seat's too small, the pegs aren't in the right place, or it's just plain uncomfortable. But I felt snug and happy the first time I climbed aboard this Triumph. It's an improvement over the '02.

(But the bike that loves my ass the most is Doug's '75 Norton 850 Commando. Really, it loves me. And I love it, too.)

Smokey, buzzy discussion.

I'm not sure how long this attack will last. The last week has taken something like a thousand years to pass...

oh how i love long drawn out stories with lots of nonsence, that end with absurd imaturity...nice
buy the way i am a mechanic at a honda shop, i went to mmi in orlando, i took honda, kawasaki, and suzuki. i've had many dirtbikes as a kid and even a kawasaki tecate 250cc two stroke 3-wheeler. but no street bikes yet im in the middle of rebuilding the top end, front forks, clutch, stripping and repainting the gastank, frame fender, and side panals of my dads 78 kawi kz1000. he wants me to do it for less than 1000$ including my charge for labor... im already up to about $650 in parts alone. he has two harleys as well so i might make him give it to me when im all done. im doing all the work in a tin shed that isn't half as nice a the one you built. but it'll work.

Holy crap the shed is taking forever. I swear I go out in the backyard after work and put in three hours on it every day, get done and say "what exactly did I accomplish in these three hours? That's it?" It is moving along, just s l o w l y. I'm im the middle of building/installing the double doors presently. I've done some...

Halfway through the workday I had to think "why on earth am I so testy right now?"
1. Wind woke me up at 3:00am & I didn't fall back asleep.
2. I had yet to eat anything.
3. The wind was still making a huge ruckus and it was giving me a headache.
4. Actually my headache was coming from a lack of caffeine since...

omg, thank you. not only am i "L. ing O. L." from your comment, i'm actually considering it! (i'm a very open person, you see.) the sample/staredown method . . . it's sort of brilliant. i will definitely go heavy on the menacing looks.

as for firearms, you call it a joke, i call it the best release i'd had in a long time!

I blew off work and spent friday working on the shed. Got the roof up and most of the paneling on. I worked on it from 6:00 until 6:00, then stuffed my face & watched a movie. Bedtime y'all.
guitargeek:
Then what happened?
kenyon:
dr. bronner's soap. theology AND science. jawbreaker. heathers. face-stuffage. your all-too-true comment in the "how to talk to the boy" thread in the hopefuls group.

good stuff.

here's the progress I made building a shed to house the bikes this weekend. The sub-floor took the longest, all welded galvanized C-channel. I did that so it'd be nice & stiff and I can pick it up with the forklift if I feel like moving it somewhere else. Plus, the steel was free. Slow going... I thought I would get more done in a...
