A good time was had by all at SG Vegas bowling night. I'll definately come out to future get-togethers. I'm sipping coffee & trying to decide whether to pop the cams back into the triumph or since I'm partially there pull the head & have a go at a minor port job. When I fitted the new carbs I looked down the intake ports, they're yucky. Big sharp raised seams from the mold & just overall sloppiness. The real plans for the motor are now on hold due to my arch-nemisis "Money". The next chapter for it is the suspension. I got a set of forks from a '97 CBR600. The upper legs & internals are what's changing, I'll re-use my stock lowers so I don't have to fool with the brake and fender. But I think I'll strip the paint & polish them. I'm now searching for a set of ZRX shocks for the back end. Apparently so is everybody else who owns a twin-shock streetbike $$$$.
Three cheers for cooler weather!
Mon. morning: Got up at four to get ready for work & found out I'm leaving today for Tulsa rather than tomorrow. Just business trip, no play time. If I had any I'd head straight for the fireworks factory on the close side of OKC. Prices are unbelievably cheap (or were ten years ago...) back on Sunday evening after a quick trip to CO on the way home.

As for Zzyzx road, its a great place for pee breaks and romanic roadtrip interludes.
Plus, you can actually see stars out there!
