I should have a new internet connection pretty soon, but right now nothing. Yesterday I had to pull a pit bull off of Norvin. I'm by no means a pit hater, but this ain't helping that attitude. Norvin & I were jogging & the thing came out of nowhere, no barking no showing teeth, just leaped anmd latched onto Norvin's side. I punched the thing & it didn't flinch. I grabbed him by the sruff of the neck (no collar) and tried to pull him off but he wasn't budging, so I reached under and squeezed the thing's throat until he let go. So now I have a snarling pit bull in my hands and I'm assuming Norvin is missing a piece of his side. There were 2 women in the unfenced yard adjacent to the sidewalk we were on & with these two women were 2 other (barking but small & harmless) dogs, so I assumed the pit came from them. I basically threw the thing at them so and yelled at them to get it out of here, all I was thinking about was Norvin. Apparently they didn't care to try to get it under control, so it ran straight for Norvin and latched on again. I got him off again and screamed at the women "TAKE YOUR HANDS, PUT THEM ON YOUR FUCKING DOG AND GET IT OUT OF HERE OR I AM GOING TO BEAT IT'S FUCKING HEAD INTO THE CURB UNTIL IT IS DEAD!" Somewhere in the middle of that statement a guy came from across the street and said "Ill take your dog" which he did, (thank you so much!) and started running him down the street away from the rest of us. Once he was a block away the pit lost interest in Norvin. Again, all I'm really caring about is my own dog, so I let the pit go and started running after Norvin & the other guy. Turns out Norvin didn't really get hurt (whew), no blood at all. he's a little tender in the 2 spots, but that seems to be it. It happened real fast & I guess the pit didn't have time to really dig in. Called animal control, the woman who's dog it was (although she kept saying "it's not mine, it's my husband's" like that matters to me) said they would find it another home, but would not voluntarily turn it over to animal control. Animal control said they couldn't do anything else unless I press charges which of course I am. The pit is current on vaccines. They've had the dog for ten years. I don't want the dog dead, I just want it to be taken care of responsibly so it can't hurt some little girl or something. My mom walks Norvin all the time, if it had been her there'd be nothing she could do except let the thing chew on Norvin until it was finished...

Also, I told Norvin he REALLY owes me (or better yet Mom) one, because HE is supposed to protect US. The big oaf. He was just baffled, I don't think he understood at all what was happening, it was too quick.
