This gave me a kick today -
I usually listen to Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sirius at work, it's far & away my favorite station. Anyhow, I hear Mick Collins singing some song I'm not familiar with. I dig every band that Mick has been in, most especially The Gories, but everything he does is good. Here's a $20 Gories video that rocks way more than $20 worth just in case you wanna give a listen. You'll have to double click, but it's the best example available imho:
So anyhow, I don't recognize the song & knowing he's in a bunch of bands I go to see which one it is & the name of the band is The Norvins. I'm truly touched that Mick would pay such homage to my humble pooch. I tried to explain this all to Norvin, and I think he understands, but I'm not sure if he gets all the details. He's not exactly musically inclined unless there's a siren in the distance, but it's pretty apparent that he REALLY WANTS TO PLAY with these other Norvins. Now I gotta get on the phone to Mick and see if they need someone to play the role of like a Flavor Flav or something, basically to jump around all excited and out of control on stage, maybe with squeaky toys:
