Wow. The car runs, and seems to run well. I was almost counting on it not firing up, so much so that I spaced a few little details. Worst of which was that I left a piece of the wiring harness laying on top of the headers, which promptly melted & shorted a wire. I'm not sure what the particular wire does yet, but it burned a nice long path through several feet of the harness. After getting the transmission's throttle valve properly adjusted (that's what the gauge in the video is there for) I drove it around the neighborhood a bit. I'm absolutely amazed that I hear no strange noises from the motor, the trans or the rear end. I'm giving myself a pat on the back. Of course once I get the HUGE exhaust leaks fixed there might be some noises present that I'm not hearing. The leaks are at the header collectors, I kinda fucked 'em up & knew they'd leak. I'm not sure what the solution will be, but it's a minor problem.



Norvin is awesome and he loves the garage. I've completely warmed up to scolding him when it's approprate., but don't worry, he gets way more positive attention than negative. Oscar is getting more used to him, and he's being a little mellower around Oscar after getting swatted a couple of times.


EDIT: I spoke a little prematurely about having no issues with the car- having a 3rd & 4th gear would really be awesome. I'd place money on something I didn't do right in installing the shift kit or conversion linkage. I'll ask around here and see if I get some clues.
