I maimed my father this morning
. I enlisted his help to move some heavy 10' toolboxes from a trailer to a truck. Neither of us were really paying attention to each other & we dropped one on his finger. At work we constantly move around long heavy stuff & when we say "let me get this end first" it means keep your hands clear on the other end. "together?" would preceed us both lifting. I just wasn't thinking that it's been ten years It since he & I were working together & coordinated with stuff like that. It's his right hand index finger, it's broken and sliced up pretty bad, I hope the tendons & shit are intact. He got some stitches but they couldn't set it, he has to go to an orthopedic surgeon on monday. It looked worse than they say it is, it was kinda hanging there. He's a pilot, rides motorcycles & atv's, does all kinds of fun stuff, I hope it's not going to be a big hinderance on him. On the way to the hospital (still thinging the finger was like, falling off) I said "hey, check out that trailer for sale, wanna stop and take a look?" that got a laugh. I feel awful, but it was definately both our faults. Even if it were entirely my fault he'd insist that it wasn't. He's the best.
Last Monday I took the buggy to the dmv in Vegas to register it. Since it's from out of state it required a VIN inspection. They informed me they wouldn't continue the title as a '59 bug, it would have to be titled as a 2006 special construction requiring smog unless I could document when it was built. "Ok, I have this title that documents it's assembly in 1959 in Germany." "Sorry". I made an appoinment with the Boulder City constable & had a VIN inspection certificate within 10 minutes of his arrival. Hey Las Vegas:
I need a "thumbing my nose" smiley.

Thanks for the compliment on my bike, I could remember racing these bikes up and down the neighborhood when I was a paper boy at nine. Some pleasant memories there.
I really like the new seat you put on the triumph! That moto keeps getting better looking all the time.
