yesterday was great, I took the buggy out in the desert for a few hours. I love it, it seems very solid & runs great. There is one little issue that I'll have to do something about. Running fast on a rough surface then idling it loads up on fuel & runs crappy. The float bowl vents are fed up into the venturis (this arrangement is common in boats to avoid explosive fumes in the engine compartment). The float needles must not be dealing with heavy vibration so the bowls are overflowing. I'll look into heavier needle springs & new needles first before just letting the fuel dump out on the lizards that escape my tires.
I've got the triumph all over the garage again. I'm getting rid of the side covers which means making the electrical mess underneath dissapear. I've done some cutting & welding on the battery box, removing powdercoat is seriously difficult if you can't reach it with a sanding disc. sandblasting does nothing, it's too "bouncy" I think. paint stripper + scraper + wire brush works but slowly.
Super secret crime tip: paint stripper will remove your fingerprints from the surface of your fingers. Of course intelligent people would just wear gloves. when playing with corrosive chemicals that is.
The Neanderdolls
gave detroit a proper spanking. Way to go!
I'm slacking on pictures. I'll take some today, ok?
Also, goodbye to Buck Owens.

no news really. i'm going tomorrow night to sit with "the body." people are taking different shifts for 3 days round the clock, so i'm showing up latenight tomorrow in boston (i feel like crap - i'm totally bringing a pillow. as in for my head. everyone else can sit and chant or whatever the fuck they need to do). then a memorial friday.
i'm realizing how alone i feel, like all parental figures are being snuffed out of my little sphere. feel sort of adrift. minus the sort of. i'll be "fine." i just wish i was physically strong and not still so dependent on others for nearly everything, despite how "healthy" i may appear or whatever. (you have no idea how much i covet the idea of just working a real job - being that independant.) i know we're not our bodies but sometimes it's hard to know it, if you follow.
it just sucks, and sucking is what happens sometimes.
