holy crap, what a ride home from colorado. made running out of gas the last time seem mundane. I'm beat, soaked & shivering. details shortly, but first bed & work.
guitargeek:
Ahh, don't ya just love a good adventure? wink

What news? How's that alloy tank?

I'm packing up to go to Colorado again. I'm going to miss Dinosaur Jr, which bums me out. But I'll be having fun, so no complaints. This time I won't run out of gas, but I'm not going to try to do the 870 miles in 10 hours again. I've got this radar detector set up that has a blinking LED in my helmet, but...

Damn, I've just been fucking EVERYTHING up the last few days. I did something to my computer. The commando tank is fixable, I think. There's no actual creases, & most of the movement seems to have come from underneath. It's a VERY soft alloy, so I think with some coaxing it'll be alright. I probably won't attempt that myself though. Now for the embarassing bit....

oh man, bad day. No motorcycle ride to ease it out either, it's pouring rain here right now. The lightning is nice though, I hope it keeps up for a while.
I don't really feel like listing the bad shit, but I'll tell you about this. I was out in the garage putting the Kawi back together after finishing the valve adjustment & I noticed...

Oh man! Who makes alloy tanks? Perhaps if you sent it to them?

Shit. mad

I'll ask the ex if he's ever heard of this...maybe there's something you can do.

Whewww, it's hot. Today I unloaded 40K lbs of steel from a truck. Probably 1/2 of that is stuff that could be directly picked up using the fork lift, the rest has to be picked up manually & put on the fork lift or a pallet. Both my workers are away on a BMX freestyle tour of some sort that their sponsers sent them on....

Whats a swamp cooler? I feel i should know this if i live in vegas...but i have no idea as am not familiar with any swamps in nevada...hummmmm...must be a local thing.

Your pictures from your vacation look fantastic! I love Colorado and is the only part i like about driving between Nevada and Minnesota.

The trip has been stellar so far. Telluride is hands down the most beautiful town I've ever set foot in. It also has already earned a soft spot in my heart since my Dad dropped his Honda ST on main street in front of a decent crowd. Poor guy. His legs are shorter than my own and on that tall of a bike he's on...

sounds like you are having a fabulous trip...sorry about your dad...that is embarassing but it seems he handled it the best way possible....it also sounds like something i would have done shocked

Thanks! smile You'd think a prosthetic leg covered with used bandaids and gobs of hair would be too gross to touch, but I just know it's gonna be a magnet for grubby hands...an electric fence is a damn good idea.

Well, the disapointment over the girl has given way to excitement about the trip. I put a stainless muzzy exhaust and K&N pods in the ZRX, as well as a new rear tire & some hard luggage that matches the bike. I Got a jetting kit w/ needles from Ivan's along with the exhaust, it runs perfect. Getting rid of the airbox enabled me to...

HA! My mom bought me my first motorcycle: a Yamaha YZ80-D when I was eight. Admitedly, she's the exception, but I don't get why so many mothers have this phobia about bikes...

Sorry to hear about the gal... Enjoy your trip!

Well shit, that was short. I am to girls as oil is to water. Now I'm sad, boo hoo. frown I guess she's not entirely over a real recent break-up, or at least that's the easy way of putting it to me. I hope that's not all the luvin' I have been alotted for another 3 years because I could have easier done without any. Here's...

I checked out South Bay........do you have a bigger rim yet?.......a 180 would look sweet!.....I also though that the fender eliminator kit was cool, it cleaned up the back end of the bike......they always seem to put ugly tailights and brakelights on new bikes...even my '74 bonnie had ugly lights in the back that I had to change, I need to install a LED kit in my brake light because it's to dull and no one can see it...it's super dull right now because i'm running a Mag. and the skull cover doesn't help out either

Have you checked out BellaCorse? They're building some sweet bikes...
