You'd think that after a half hour, someone would call and say "Hey! You're late for work!"
Well... I got that call at 6:39 this morn. I was supposed to be there at 4. I get there at 7:15.
The day starts...
Michelle. I love her dearly. She's been having problems with her man. I could tell that today was one of those days. I got a video game out of the stockroom for her to bring up to the service desk. I handed it to her and then pulled her in. I gave out one of my best hugs ever. She cried there on my shoulder for a good minute. I got her a tissue and let her compose herself as I ran the game up front. She came up to me later today to thank me and tell me that she put in her 2 weeks notice. She wants to start new. I think she's going to Tennessee. I'll miss her.
That wasn't the only sadness. I have this little kid that comes in all the time and presses the buttons on my music interactive unit. It plays clips of the songs on all of the compilation cds. He was in today singing "Hey Ho Let's Go Hey Ho Let's Go!"
It made me proud. He's a little half-asian dude too. Reminded me of a little me And then the sadness hit. I guess I want to be a dad. I know I'm not ready and I don't have a wife or girlfriend, but the feeling is there. The other day, when I took my friend to the doctor, there was a little tan toddler girl all punk rock in a pink outfit and pigtails. I totally lost it. She looked like she could have been my babydoll had she lived 
. Oh well. I do good as long as I don't think about it.
Good News:
I guess it's how you look at it. They told me to not work on thursday. That's fine with me. I'll be missing a day's pay, but I won't be at work. So, I close Weds., off Thurs. and Fri, and close on Sat. Sunday is the show with the Lexhole. Monday off. Tues. is early. Close on Weds. and Thurs. And then friday it's off to Toronto. Yayaa!!! I can't wait.
Newsradio seasons 1 and 2 came out today. I want it. Chappelle's show second season also.
