Well I wish it was a better day....

After multiple trips to get my car registration and license changed, I could only accomplish one of the two. It seems that due to something that happened a month or so ago, my license is in limbo and gets to remain that way until I go to court. Well that made me want to just jump for joy.

So here I am when I should be working on a pile that is growing exponentially of work, feeling very much like its the last thing I can concentrate on.

Anne and I are also still worlds apart. It seems like its a matter of whether she can see me as someone new and forget our past or can she just not get over things that hurt or bothered her. Yeah other guy still exists and is coming back to the area in a few weeks.

Oh to add to that, we cancelled the wedding the other day. And just to add insult to injury, the coordinator of the wedding hall wrote to us to remind us of the next payment and said she can only imagine how excited we must be. Ouch.

Rationally, as odd as its sounds, all of this should be good things. Cancelling the wedding is a smart move so we don't have that pressure. Plus it then gives us a chance to do what we really want and should have from the start. The idiot coming back may also work in my favor too. Both things provide her more clarity to make a decision. So if only emotions were tied into rational thinking *sigh*.

On another side, Cali was fun. It also was a trip of meaning...we went to Disneyland. Yeah some think that's kid's stuff or just a park. But for the two of us, our lives revolve around the amusement industry. Its my job and my passion...something I hold some deep beliefs in. Walt and Disneyland saved the industry 50 years back in a lot of ways. They set new standards for everyone to live up to, and the company continues to today.

For me, walking down main street and seeing names of people in the windows that contributed their lives to the ideals I believe in was intense. These are the pioneers in my field...what they accomplished is amazing to every standard. They are what I hold myself up to in my work as the measuring stick.

We had fun there, but there's moments when gravity became heavier than before. And there was strength from it too. I AM in the right industry for me. I can accomplish a hell of a lot. For both of us it was an unforgettable and meaningful experience that maybe happened right now for a reason. All I can do is to just keep going.
