Poetry share. Judging from the last verse L.A. is definitely on my mind.

as the years go by
with the pass of every autumn
memories fade
& Novembers are forgotten
we had light
we had music
but we had not the time
to learn how to use it

wintertime's dark skies
the nights were growing colder
and our arguments
starting growing bolder
stole wood from the store
to keep the fire burning
with matters of life and love
we were still learning

walking springtime streets
drinking poetry
your eyes
were going to be the death of me
had all the gunpowder in heaven
we were breathing fire
the dice were loaded on seven
when it was over we just felt tired

summertime came
burned clean through the money
tied the collectors together
on an ant hill covered in honey
someday soon
twisting down the 101
on the road
I'll be chasing down the sun
