Charlie and I got to talk for a while last night about some ideas that the two of us have as far as where the band should go. We pretty much decideded that the main focus should be getting the debut album done. It is was really kind of refreshing the othe day when I was listening to hi podcast and he mentioned us in it. We are his side project so I always feel overshadowed by his main project, which actually just put out a really amazing cd called "Say It With Cobblestones" which if you've heard any of our stuff and you like it then I recommend downloading both the Podcasts and anything by "The Uncontrollable Few". I just hope that I can pull something off that I will be proud of. I am starting to think the sound that we strived for on this release is not really what our collective minds should be doing.

As far as the debut goes, I have a lot of re-writing to do since the computer crashed on me. So it may take me some time to flesh back out all the songs. "A Letter From A Fan" which I seem to keep hearing a combination of The Beatles "Dear Prudence" meets Aimee Mann's "Dear John" while Charlie explains it as The Cures "In Between Days" meets Go Sailors "s/t" album. Every time I go to write "What Lies Beneath" I always write it sounding like Sujans Steven's "John Wayne Gacy Jr" while I would rather it come off more like Paul Simons "Kodachrome", when I sit down to write what I think will be called "The Manaquin" it always comes off like At The Drive In, meets Marilyn Manson's "Portrait Of An American Family" when it really it should sound like Sisters Of Mercy's "No Time To Cry" meets New Order's "True Faith" with a hint of The Smiths. II guess Charlie's got a "jazzy" idea in mind for Albert Fish's song called "Cottage In The Counryside"

tell people all the time that songs usually take the forms of what you have been listening to at the time on conception. They come out predeistend to a type of sound and Charlie is like the man trying to convert them in to a new kind of lifestyle.

If the above paragraph didnt confuse you as to what Charlie and I's combined musical tastes are, there is talk about some very pro-girl covers, maybe an EP or so full of them. We have sort of bene challenged to take on a Bjork cover, while Charlie has mentioned "Army Of Me" while I on the other hand being new to Bjork say we should do "Venus As A Boy" or "It's Oh So Quiet". Then we talked about how good his Aimee Mann covers are and how id like to see him do "Say Anything" which brought us into hey at lest I am not asking you to do the song "Mr Zebra" and he was like well if we do any Amos it would be a Postal Service esq version of the song "Me And A Gun" then got me asking why not go full out and add Crow, Apple, Loeb, and Mirah's song "Dont Die In Me" and do a very Liliath Fair styled cover album. I am not sure he was all too opposed to it.
