I swear my life is like a novel...
I couldnt sleep at all last night, some come 6 am I was not too happy to have to go into work. It was actually busy at times but I was just like so out of it till about 12:00 when my manager came in. She kept me there till around 1:30, but she said I should of told her I had to walk home cause she wouldnt let me go with Amanda and like 12:30 so I could of gotten a ride home. But this is all standard routine, but then as I was leaving the store....
I thought I saw Jackie (Matt's girlfriend) heading out to her car, so I wanted to make sure so I sort of walked up to the car and she got out she was like do you work here and I am like yea, but it was just really awkward I mentioned I had to walk home and she just said she had to go back to work. It was just really wierd to run in to her.
The albums coming along, even though I dont think we have a female vocalist to sing out song "Last Call", Charlie's friend Lisa is kind of MIA. So I went and checked out some of our myspace friends to see if they wanted to do it. I wrote to Normandie Wilson of "Red Pony Clock" to see if she would be intrested and she sounded excited but then I never heard anything back from the message. Which seems to be the case when it comes to our other guest stars. So I dont know if I should move on and start maybe asking people here if they want to add vocals to the debut album?
As far as writing the album, I may not have any new concreate lyrics, but I do have ideas on the styles of the songs and how they will play into the overall flow of the song. "Letters From A Fan" my song about the girl who had a huge fan like crush on Rameriez is going to match "Last Call's" sort of slow tempo love song esq melody. Dauhmer's song I also got a very 80's New Order feel from which Charlie says he can do and still keep it within our twee/pop realm. Our Ed Gein song, under the working title (Sea Of Gein) is going to be our epic closing song for the album. I always thught Belle and Sebastians "Stay Loose" was like a metaphore for out band. It starts off very basic in structure and then out of no where it goes complex, then stops, then builds back up for an ending that amazes people. I think thats what "Sea Of Gein" will be like. Then to sort of compliment "Cease To Exist" which came out with a very 60' and 70's type grove to them. I am almost done with my follow up "Lover's Lane" (Zodiac), which will sound sort of like Donovans "Hurdy Gurdy Man". I will be so happy when this album is finally put together.
