blackeyed blackeyed blackeyed blackeyed

*Sigh*

So...This week has pretty much sucked big time. I've been sick since I went out bowling frown Well...I was sick before that, but I mean...The coughing and breathing problems have been pretty much constant since Friday...No more breaks in between fits frown

Sunday night I stopped breathing in my sleep again. I had gone to bed around midnight, and woke up around two in the morning. I was running on nothing more than instincts in the beginning. In one singular motion that would have made even the most graceful of creatures jealous, I sat up, tossed off my blankets, flung my headphones aside, and rip out my retainers, tossing them perfectly onto my bed as I jumped to the floor. At this point, a small amount of awareness came to me, and all I could hear was this loud, rapid croaking noise. It took a moment for me to realize that this noise was coming from me.

I made my way out of my room, avoiding all obstacles that lay in my path. A step or two down the hallway and I had finally awoken enough to realize what was happening. I made it to the bathroom. A fit of coughing came on strong, and I was finally able to breathe. However, I could not enjoy the moment as in the next instant I was doubled over, coughing and gagging over the toilet. Thankfully, I didn't have to spew out my insides this time around. But it was there, in my throat and in my chest. I could feel the acid burning away at unprotected passageways.

I collected myself. Drawing in slow deep breaths. Oh air, how sweet you taste. I glance into the mirror; the fit of coughs and gags was strong enough to bring tears to my eyes, and they now rolled down my cheeks. I splashed ice cold water on my face, toweled off, and proceeded to blow my nose. The stench of stomach fluids invaded my nasal ways as I did so. The smell was nearly pungent enough to break the sense of calm I had acquired, but I held on strong. I fought off the urge to expel that which wanted out so badly, and I made my way back to my bed.

Though I lay in bed, I could not sleep. I was terrified that it may happen again. My throat was scratched and irritated; every few seconds bringing another fit of coughing. I sucked on cough drops, hoping to soothe the pain in my throat. My breath was short, my coughing endless. I could not go to sleep. As so, I lay there, tossing and turning; fighting to find comfort. I would eventually tire and give in to temptation, but not until six in the morning.

Since then, I have had a slew of breathing problems. I am still coughing. I am short of breath. I am easily winded. I have been on the defensive, using asthma medication only at the worst of times. Today, that changes. Today, I take a more aggressive stance. And so, here I am, performing breathing treatments every four to six hours. Oh how I hate doing these. The medication is so strong, that I am left shaking and restless afterwards. But it is worth it...As long as it keeps allowing me to breathe.

The Wrap-Up

Well, it is just about time for me to do another treatment. Oh yea, and in completely random news, my team lost our CAL match on Monday...And that really sucked frown Although, we did win our two TWL matches (TWL is to CAL what arena football is to the NFL lol...). Anyway, I hope you are all better off than I am. Take care.

I still think that even with their advantages on the battlefield, the Spartan victories were a little exaggerated. But it's a movie, so it's allowed.

Hope things start getting better for you soon.
