Life is a series of disappointments split apart by the occasional cool thing. I am in a really long series of disappointments.
Clearly, I am karmically fucked. Maybe things will balance out in the next life and I will have it made like the other undeserving fuckheads living it up right now.

Perfect scene: being 50 years old sitting on a front porch polishing my shot gun. I haven't cut the grass in years and have 50 cats on a rampage in my yard.

As for life. It's a series of ups and downs. There just happen to be more downs than ups sometimes. Just stick with it.
