Wow, another holiday season is upon us. God, Christmas sucks! If you think it's just nothing but commercialized, you should come to Orange County, CA. It's even worse. In fact, it's like that year round. That's not to say there aren't some wonderful people here. There are. They just tend to get drowned out by those who are only about fake tits, fake personalities, driving around in silly $100,000 military vehicles, having bad taste, and trying very hard to not think for oneself.
So, it must be time for me to head out to the desert. (Those of you who have not experienced our California deserts are missing out.) Sometimes the stars at night can be stunning. Sometimes the silence can be deafening. Sighting a coyote can be magnificent. The stark landscapes often have an otherworldly quality. Sometimes you run into strange humans who always have peculiar stories. There's nothing like walking alone into a sleazy, dusty bar in a small desert town just to see what happens, or doesn't happen, or just to feel the spirit of the place while you're having a beer.

i know this guy who has this tattoo,that to me looks like wet string.I'm not sure what its supposed to be,if anything.It doesnt really matter coz it looks cool.

Sounds a little like my tattoo. But with mine, people are pretty sure it's not supposed to be anything. I enjoy it to no end when somebody's facial expression, upon seeing it, says, "Why would you get something with no meaning?" Getting that reaction, and having that person have to reconsider what is acceptable expression, is MEANINGFUL to me. Ah, but it's mostly just meant to be fun.
