so, this past friday, the 6th of january, two important things happened to me...i was offered a great job to begin on the 1 february and i got laid off of work (all within 2 hours of each other! what a switch).
of course i got laid off, i knew this would happen, thus the job interview. not only will i be making 15K more a year, i will have a first proper job/career. health insurance to fix my tummy, SUPER COOL people to keep me going through the day yet i feel that they will keep me responsible, it saves me 1 hour of commuting per day, with zero need for a nyc subway, i take one 15 minute bus and then walk for 10 minutes and i am there! and most importantly, it is a dot edu, not a dot com!!!!!! so i will be in admissions for a design school, which mostly requires writing and guiding, yay! i really think this is a wonderful start to '06. for once, i really think i am going to enjoy my job whilst in nyc!
all i did this weekend was watch 6 films!!!!!! pretty relaxing weekend home, which i love for a change; especially in the winter. i have 3 weeks off until i begin work, which, is sort of brilliant and sort of shitty because i am sort of broke. i could wait tables for 3 weeks then jam, but i would feel bad. i could also do some craigslist gigs...big possibility...
craig gave me work to do while i am at home. he wants to start his own design company eventually, and he wants me to do some research. he is up to his neck in freelance and has a fulltime job so he has no time to begin the first stages...i have some time...
i just realized this is a pretty dull journal entry, it actually feels like a "journal entry" which i try to stay away from. well, you can't win them all. i guess i will go to bed now seeing it is uh, 4:19 am. i added no smilies either which is strange...let us spice it up with some butt photos...er..
