I passed my driving test today! I now have my provisional license 
Yeah, I'm 27 and should have had it ages ago, bla bla bla. Don't care. I passed first time, which is more than lots of people can say. 
The immediate upshot of this is that I can get a new tattoo. Well, I guess the real upshot should be that I'm now allowed to drive unaided, but that's a mere perquisite. You see I sometimes set myself goals, which when achieved, may be rewarded with my next tattoo; this was one such goal. I'm going into design mode.
It's time to strike out onto an arm, I think. I've got two ideas. The first is a half-sleeve based on a piece of sheet music that I particularly adore; the music would be drawn ornately onto the illusion of a crumbling old sheet of paper, which would be wrapped around my upper arm. Either that, or a design based around the crest of my family name, which comes from an ancient Scottish clan. Whichever way I go, I'm excited.

Your idea, I just noticed, is not to too far away from mine! (I have just read your post for the first time now!) It's not too often that you see crushed paper on skin, it would be an interesting effect and a good opportunity to include a little shading.
I'll get mine one of these days...
