Hello! My name is Karyn. I'm a rock & metal chick from Brisbane living in Wollongong, just south of Sydney. I'm a former fitness instructor now working in science; I love road cycling, reading, sci-fi and fantasy, gaming, body modification, and songs with cool old-school squealy guitar solos.

What's to tell about me? I work on a very large steel making plant studying air pollution. I spend a lot of my days shimmying up extremely tall chimney stacks, getting very dirty, and wearing really unattractive protective industrial clothing. That's only a part of me though, those clothes have to come off sometime...

My fiancee Tim is the guitarist and vocalist for a heavy metal band called LORD (formerly Dungeon), which is fairly big on the underground metal scene here in Australia. I play violin myself and I have a beautiful electric 5-string which I'd love to do something with one day. I'm getting my man to teach me the basics of songwriting so hopefully I'll be able to come up with something. This is me and him:
