So, back to work I went... *sigh* Yes, I can hear the sympathy rolling in for the steadily-employed, works 3-days-a-week guy. 
I was well worth it... I received a gift certificate! 
My agency hands out $25 gift cards for quarterly perfect attendance & $250 for a whole year w/o an absence. I'm rarely sick so, racking these things in have been easy over the past couple of years. Today's free purchases w/ said gift card were: Diana Krall's new release, "The Girl In The Other Room" & Chet Baker's "My Funny Valentine". Baker was the reason I always wanted to learn to play trumpet...ya know, to look dreamy while singing & clearly not play trumpet. Diana Krall is the reason I like leggy Canadian piano players & think Elvis Costello is a bastard having married her. 
Perhaps a longer entry tomorrow, true believers... Friday's are normally worth while to talk about. Ah...here's a thought until then - Ferrets. Your thoughts?
