Well holy fucking shit...I have DSL! *knocks on wood* We received the word that it wouldn't start until the 25th but, I arrived home after housesitting, turned on my tower and there's an unfamiliar green light on my DSL modem. For some strange reason, it was telling me the DSL was working and wouldn't you know, it is! *knocks on wood again* 
So, rather than draw straws, play paper/rock/scissors or tickle submission on who can update first, both AlienPrincess and I can do so at the same time! 
Absolutely blows my mind... And, now comes the networking!
So, all done housesitting for my 'Rents. They arrived back from Vermont intact, found their house intact and asked, "How come you didn't have a party or something?" "Uh... 'cause I don't know enough people." Despite the life I live in my head, I'm aware that just because my parents are out of town and they've left their house, brand new Mini Cooper & plasma screen in my care, it's not going to magically fill up with random people, like in a John Hughes film...I'd still have to live there for that to happen.
