Yes, yes... An unexpected greyness but, not a long-lasting one. In the new job, I was expecting a possible delay in when my paycheck direct deposit would be in full effect. Happily I was paid much more than I though I was going to be so, mixed blessing all around.

So, I reckon my now displaced faithful four readers would like to know what I've been up to..? As it was quickly stated last week - Work! I was finally able to leave the summer job I'd filled while going through my painfully slow interview process. Being my usual Nice Guy self, I offered to stay much longer than when I felt it necessary. Not so much to help out the owners of the business but to ease transition to the night crew I'd been a part of. I'll likely be stopping back by to pickup my last paycheck on Thursday and glow in how horribly things have turned out due to my no longer being there. Mean perhaps but, a passive-aggressive ego boost nonetheless.

The new job is happily going well... The core of the work has strong similarities to the social work I'd performed in the group home I'd left. This position concentrates much more on the paperwork end of support rather than primary care. In other words, less hand-holding as the clientele are much higher functioning. In the two short weeks that I've been there, co-workers have had several happy glimpses as to why I'd been highly recommended. At odds with that have been the realization that this office has an unfortunate political dynamic based on nothing important whatsoever. Divining the whims of these catty bitches using an Aztec calendar and cat spleens may hold reveal more than reason or alternately, respect between co-workers. Time will tell, no doubt.

Aside from the immediate plans of popping my head into my long-missed group, it seems I have to porn to catch up tonight! Comments will follow tomorrow morning!
