if anyones on myspace.com add me or send a request or a message.. im hooked on that fucking thing hahaha
This would be my place there
enough of that.. onto music! i bought some cds this weekend heres what i think about them:
1. Mars Volta- Frances the Mute: Wow what a great cd. the music is awesome. the singing is great. its a must get for anybody that doesnt have it. the only complaint i have is some the intros are way to fucking long and so are the outros.. its great music but sometimes it gets to be a bit too much. so you find your self fast forwarding a lot of it. until the band and singing kicks in. other than that good stuff.
2. Big Sandy-Dedicated to you: this is his Doo Woop/R&B stuff..its really good. hes got a great voice. theres a great version of Oochie Coochie on there.. Have Love Will Travel is another good track saw him do that song live at his show a few weeks ago and it sounded great. all the tracks are great. so if your into 50's doo woop/R&b its a must. different than his "Western Swing" (for my buddy dday lol) stuff but also really good.
3. Jack Johnson-In Between Dreams: Ive always liked this guys stuff. its just really soothing and relaxing for me.. if i was ever on an island somewhere drinking a beer or an umbrella drink lol id want to have some Jack Johnson playing in the background. Yeah this cd sounds like all of his other stuff, but thats his style and i like it. its a good cd. im pretty sure this has to be an acuired taste. i wouldnt recommend this cd to anybody unless your already a fan or heard some of his stuff on the radio and liked it..
good buys overall..i was pleased...take care of each other!!!
