5 things I love about the holidays
1, A family tradition I started with my daughter's participating in Salvation Army Angel Tree.
2, It just makes me happy participating in Toy For Tots every year.
3, Family is important to me during the holidays! We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve at my parents house every year.
4, Giving back and helping others in need during the holidays. You might like this when I first became a member I helped a SGH during the holidays. We had a incredible online friendship and she fell on hard times when she got sick and missed several weeks of work. We always talked about meeting each other with her only living one state away and going on a date. I told her I'm coming to visit and help you. She was so happy when I showed up and helped her with somethings. She paid her rent but needed help with her electric and water bill. We went on that date we always talked about and had the best time and we decided to keep this between us. She's now a SG and we continue to have a close friendship and talk often.
5, Christmas dinner on Christmas Day with my daughter's and gf Cheyenne.
5 things I hate about the holidays
1, Trying to find a parking spot, today I drove around for 10 minutes or more before I found a empty parking spot.
2, The traffic of shoppers, it's like everyone decides to go shopping when I want to go shopping.
3, I'm looking for something and can't find it because who knew recliners are really popular Christmas gifts. My daughter's decided to get me a new recliner and I really need this because my old recliner broke. My daughter's might have to go online and take the 250 dollars they gave me back, and find me a recliner online. I told my daughter's I would add any additional money needed to get me the recliner I want and need.
4, To many people shopping for me and having a fear of of getting sick from the public shoppers. I don't want to get sick and I've been wearing my mask and washing my hands.
5, Daylight savings time sucks, it's dark at 5:30! And the cold weather 🌡️ is something I hate some days. Other days I enjoy a snow storm and actually hopefully of a white Christmas with snow.
Basically I enjoy the holidays and look forward to spending time with family and friends. I actually enjoy decorating my Christmas tree every year. This year my Christmas tree is decorated with ornaments from the 60's and 70's . My mom gave me two boxes of old Christmas ornaments she wasn't using. And happy to say I've finished my Christmas shopping today.
