My head is is mud.
I've been battling the flu for the past few days, conveniently ooinciding with my two week stretch of working every single night. One of the major drawbacks being that I find myself awake, not alert but awake, around 9:30 every morning, then unable to fall back asleep until just before I have to be at work around 5. Thus, my mental faculties of late have been sub-par, to say the least.
Also, my crazy dreams have subsided, meaning that the three to four hours I sleep at night are now boring and uneventful. But the accidental catnaps I find myself caught in during the day are filled with bizarre phantasms.
What to do, oh what to do?
Well, so far I'm just downing vitamin C and Thera-Flu, along with Advil Cold & Sinus. Seems to be helping, though it could also be the whiskey I chase it all with.
Regardless, I feel better late at night than I do in the morning/early afternoon.

It's always hot when your bartender is going through a coughing fit while making your cocktail. mmmmm.
Nyquil makes me feel drunk, but not in a run-around-with-pants-on-my-head way. More like being the pants.
