What an entertaining weekend. The BBQ at BKFreak's house for the 4th was a rousing success, except for DJ nazis getting upset that everyone was dancing to my 80's music and pushing me off the tables. But whatever.
Penny was in town, which is always lovely. She wasn't supposed to even speak to me this whole trip, but that didn't exactly work out for her, y'know? I mean, we all know I'm irresistible.
The quest for a new job is shaping up. I got shifts at a bar on Smith St. in Brooklyn, so I'm not owned by the Ace Bar anymore. Hallelujah. Unfortunately, this means I can't house-sit for my mom in Alabama in August, which I was looking forward to as a much-needed respite from NYC, but them's the breaks. Maybe with this extra job I can actually afford to fix my computer, which has been languishing in the land of the lost for 4 months now.
