Okay here's your daily Dharma for October 26, 2010:

"The kind of people we truly must meet
are people who we will long for.

Once in a while, we must meet those who,
whether at our sides, or separated from us,
cause a wave off affection to undulate within.

if we are not able to meet, even in the midst of our intense longing,
a shadow is cast over our lives.
A meeting not followed by longing
is an exceedingly business-like bumping into one another,
a mundane passing-by.

In crossing paths and glancing off one another,
there is no reverberation of the soul.
Without this echo in our spirit,
though we may meet, there is no encounter."

That's a passage from a collection of "essays" (poems? Dharma sayings?) by the monk Beop Jeong. I like it a lot!

Yeah, so I haven't written on SG for a while. Sorry about that. Been very busy, you see. Working, working, working. Fuck, I work too much.

But vacation hits in January and lasts for a month. Maybe a bit more than a month. I would like to take a trip, as usual. Am thinking about going to MYANMAR (Burma) and maybe Cambodia too, since one can only stay in Myanmar for 28 days (visa limits, you see). I haven't been to either of those countries.

I will probably have to change planes in Bangkok, so I could just stay there instead of going to Cambodia. But Bangkok is not really my bag. Too loud. Nice party scene, but too loud. Christ is it ever loud. LOUD LOUD LOUD.

But first things first... is it moral to go to Burma? It's a hot hot issue. I will have to think about that. I posted a message in the travel and relocation group on SG asking for info about that.

Anyways. Gotta get back to work. So that's all for now.

PS: How are you?
