I saw the Heroes finale today. Here's what I thought:.
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Is that it? Really?
For 22 episodes Heroes has been consistantly entertaining and engaging. However the final episode was horribly disappointing. For half a season we have been waiting for Peter Pertralli to smack the fuck out of Slyer, perhaps maybe using his superpowrers he keeps banging on about.
This did not happen.
Instead the season ended with no real resolution. Slyer lives (and manages to crawl away in front of a crowd of people, did no one think "Hey we better put a bullet in this guy just in case") the bomb goes off to no consequence, (It wouldnt kill Peter and whos to say Nathan didnt fly off before the explosion, plus whats to stop him going nuclear again?).
Hiro killing Slyer made no sense considering he wasnt the threat, and anyway he doesnt do the job properly. As for him ending up in ancient Japan, for fucks sake. Are we now to be treated to a rip off of Army of Darkness?
It was a huge letdown, it built to a massive climax and ended up being extremly underwhelming.
Sigh.
Maybe the 24 finale will be better (but i fucking doubt it)
