There is something wrong with my brain.
I went to see Spiderman 3 on Friday, my brain tells me it was a horrible insult to all the good work that went into the first two movies. Clearly it's wrong. Its Spiderman, directed by Sam Raimi. Bruce Campbell was in it! How can it be bad?! The gooey thing between my ears disagrees though. Its fucking positive the film was tantamount pouring direrhea over anyone thats ever had involvement in Spiderman.
I so hope its wrong.
The movie did manage something I thought was impossible. It made Mary Jane Watson unattractive. It made Kirsten Dunst (as a redhead, something that generally removes all sense of decorum from my thoughts) unattractive. Thats like persuading me that beer isn't all that great, or that boobs are overrated. Somehow they managed it though.
What diasppoints me is that Sam Raimi has done what I used to do with all my school work, the bare minimum. The "This'll do" essays I used to write. Its all there, but it lacks polish, panache and care.
Spiderman 3, its ok. It should of been awesome.
it must of been a good week when the only thing thats bothered me is a stupid movie.
I haven't heard from that job interview. In fact despite them saying they would ring my references the next day they never did. Why bother saying something if you're never gonna do it? And if you're not gonna give me the job why not say why. Was it my enthuiasm? My grasp of the English language? My desire to happily uproute myself to the otherside of the world?
I wanted that job too.
Ah well, zombies and Robert Carlyle this weekend. Ace.
