I went out searching for some new books today. Got six hours worth of traveling on Monday and I very much doubt my PSP will last the whole journey. Hell if its still got power when the train leaves the station I'll be suprised. I jumped into the Geoff Mobile (the scourge of local wildlife) a headed to my local second hand book store. Ironically this happened to be in Rhyl, this is a bit like putting a condom dispenser in the Vatican. Rhyl itself was full of people that I will use to fuel my heating when I rule the world, but I did run into my good mate Jason (Hi Jason!) which broke up the hatred of every other fucker that was sharing the town with me.
Second hand bookstores are ace. I love that apart from the slight catergorisation (usually fiction/ non - fiction) there is no clear boundaries of genre. Which means you get to crawl around and "discover" things. Things like this:
This is a novelisation of this movie.
I know loads of movies get novelisations, but wasn't aware slighty dodgy 70's horror flicks got the same treatment. It's like that time I found a "Dirty Harry" spin off novel. Every chapter was about him blasting some bad dudes, it was ace.
I also got this:
For some reason the artist responsible for the cover hasn't noticed Molly Ringwald is a redhead. This doesn't make me angry.
And thats the end of my exciting book buying excursion.
