Your thirty minutes of new noise for the week: The Apparat Programme 5.
Last night I was watching something on cable about Marc Almond, and I said, I hope they play "Say Hello Wave Goodbye." They didn't.
Tonight I saw Jools Holland play -- and halfway through the gig, Marc Almond walks on. And does "Say Hello Wave Goodbye."
This means the universe bends over backwards to make me happy.
I approve.
Bow down.

You know something? A while back you had a journal mentioning something about Ayahuasca, and I think I commented on how I'd seen that drug mentioned in comics a lot recently. Little did I realize that you actually wrote Ultimate Nightmare, which is what I was thinking of. That was a great story, by the way.

Jools and Radiohead were on some late night television thing. I have the PAL formatted tape somewhere. Unless I don't.
That's the only exposure I've had to Jools Holland. I'm sure I'm missing out.

I went into my account details, to see how much longer the gift account had to run, and I was presented with this:
Your account is complimentary - there are no payment preferences for you to set.
How the hell did that happen?

There needs to be a Warren Ellis interview for Suicide Girls. Machfive, I hope you do it.
...nah, the way this place is set up just isn't working for me. The software's very clever in a lot of respects, but the networking and messaging is a total afterthought.
Gone for a while, maybe for good. If you want to get hold of me, there's myspace/ LJ / The Engine

See you on MySpace

You know what? I like LiveJournal best of all. I like the interface there. The lack of threading at Suicide Girls, well... it throws me sometimes.
And, god, that time I thought I was losing some of my writing...

Can we have more ultraviolence soon? I just finished Desolation Jones #4 and now I'm fresh out.
fightfordawn:
I knew of A century of Fakers... but other than that... great new times!
Catching up;
My friend Katie West is determined that I should have female readers sending me photos of their bums, with overlaid text reading "Warren Ellis Owns My Ass." On further examination, it turns out that Katie West just wants to see a lot of girl's bums.
DESOLATION JONES #4 is out tomorrow in America, I think. A drop of the old ultra-violence never hurt...

You probably get this question a lot so feel free to tell me to bugger off or whatever, but is there any plan to do another run of Spider Jerusalem glasses?
chitin:
Dude! Thanks for playing me on your podcast! Some college radio station heard it and requested a CD, apart from the fact that just being on your 'cast was awesome as hell. Rock on!
What art do you make?
("Art," for the purposes of this question, includes writing, photography, fashion, modelling, torture, comics, music, dance, whatever -- I don't limit the term.)
Got a link?

Home alone for the next four days, just working and watching the inertnet fly by. Need to fix up the website some, it's gotten a little boring to me over the last few months. It occurs to me that the circle of writers/models/photographers/artists I used to write about in the diepunyhumans days have drifted to the four winds (as "scenes" and circles tend to do...
