over the weekend i went on a weekender to Edinburgh it was a friends birthday bash, he is 30, what an excellent weekend, you could go in a different pub/bar every five mins and still not see them all and during the day time you can check out the COOL as hell medieval architecture and museums etc. its by far the most romantic city ive been too, ive been to Paris and thats just a dump.
Anywy got some pics on my phone, now in the pics section, some more too come when i get them developed.
Did lots of things toom any to mention as im very tired as i just got back from work. but to name a few.
1) found out that the hotel i was staying in was called "The Dean Hotel"....my name is Dean
2) The hotel was just past "Dean Bridge"
3) which is in Dean Village...count me suitable impressed. My girlfriends best mate who did the booking did it but didnt tell me what its called.
4) on friday night we were not to get very drunk as were doing tourist things during saturday day time but that went out the window.
5) Did lots of walking and shopping (got a new coat for winter) and saw a wedding in the middle of town in a posh church all the guys had kilts etc with bag pipes playing, then the entire wedding party set off walking with japanese tourist following to the next church. we kept seeing them all over town.
6) Went out saturday night, to a bar called candy bar far too trendy for me but it was a birthday party so what can you do. A pint of cider cost 3.50 thats nearly twice what you pay normally
7) was refused entry to a trendier bar, i was too casually dressed, in a shirt and black trousers like everyone else. so my mate went in and told my friends so all 8 of them came out....they lost a lot of business by not letting me in haha
8) went next door, where you change is given on a silver tray and the bar man brings you a dish full of nuts to your table. Went to the gents and past the function room to see a buffe and the wedding that we saw earlier hahaha
9) got very drunk cant remember much else
10) sunday morning should have been checked out at eleven, got a call off hotel at 12 saying get up you lazy gits haha
11) went on the tour of the castle kind of romantic with my girl.
