Sometimes you just have to wake up and smell the coffee (or tea in my case since I can't stand coffee but love a stiff cup of earl grey...or maybe even some green tea with honey ....but I digress) And in these times we must ask ourselves what is really important in this life. Obviously, thou they are incredibly fun, are video games important? No they are not. Well then, how about going to the club? Althou dancing is amazingly fun and I do enjoy the social gathering of certain like minded individuals, some of the neanderthals and some of the drama queens, all make the club scene, not only repetative and boring, but also not truly important. How about artwork, is that important? I mean, it is an expression of ones self and the inner voice is important.....so I will leave that one as an undicided....but it is better than clubbing and videogames (althou dancing at the club can be considered art as long as you don't let the drama brigade drag you off the floor to gossip). Ok, so instead of what isn't important, how bout what is? I find that this life we live ...this terribly short and painfully brief existance....can be important, not by who we know or what we are doing, but by how we are known and what we have done. It is my solem hope, that in the long and short of things, that I am known to bring a smile to peoples faces (even if at my expense) and to have made people feel that they have a somewhat more important part in this wonderfully grand and amazingly beautiful thing that we call life. Far to often we look at other people (even thou we are the ones that they think look weird or different) and we prove that we are no better, because we mock them for their faults and looks while they do the same to us, both culturally never getting anywhere closer to the truth of existance. "Harm None" is an often quoted quip but how often do we actually live it? If you believe that, then you must belive that words have power, and how many times have we killed with the dagger that is the tounge and how often have we slaughtered the defenseless with our words. Words have power ...with them spells are cast, men are judged before a jury of their peers, negotiations over who we bomb and who we don't bomb take place. Words have power but we never watch them. I used to believe this immensely ...but lately I have allowed these things to change. I have given the fuck the world who gives a shit punk rock attitude a place in my mind. I have allowed vanity to take place and have believed my own hype. Lately I have let my words be careless. I have let the daggers fly. Some would say "Who gives a fuck look out for number one and forget the fatties and the drug addicts and the stuck up yuppie bitches and bastards". And that is the world we live in where people think only of themselves and of vengance and let their own selfish desires blind them. I don't know if I can curb this now but I would certainly like to try. Now I'm not saying that I would like to be a stepping stone or walk on eggshells just due to these inssessant ramblings I am producing.....one must have balance, a sort of equilibrium to it all....... but to not lean over and comment about how fat someone is starting to look or how insanely stupid that person looks while they are dancing, to spred a little less death with my words....that is an admirable goal............................

too true my ninja friend. i used to be so good at watching what i say, and now, i take too much pleasure in noticing other's imperfections. i'll have to reread the tao of pooh to get myself back into some sort of balanced state of mind...
