OTAY FOLKS!!

Soooooo pretty much I LOVE my future career.

I get to spend my days teaching kid songs, speech poems, adding body percussion, playing instruments, choreographing/encouraging creative movment, listening to music, and making children love it as much as I do.

For example, today I played a virtual game of algbraic 'Connect Four' with my grade six class, used rhythm sticks and handrums to replace the words in the poem 'Jelly Belly,' added movement to a song 'Let Us Chase The Squirrel' to illustrate the concept of up and down/high and low, and practiced an African Dance.

And yes, I understand that if you do not teach elementary music (or gr. 6 math) you probably stopped reading as it's boring 'Teacher Talk' or you had no idea what I was talking about.

JUST TRUST ME! IT"S FUN!!!

And I get to think about this ALL the time

OOOO I had my birthday celebration this past weekend and I was smashity smash smashed!!! Pretty much made out with all of my more open friends, including londyn (for sure) , Carla (ya I did) , and xiaoxin (I think ) as well as dancing my pants off and having a grand ole' time.

Unfortunately, the following day was a choir concert.......... which was alright, but eff that was a long day.

Followed by a wicked afterparty!

Spring break is coming, spring break is....... COMING.
