Well the guy at work who was giving me grief, upped and walked out. Basically he threw a strop about being asked to complete some work. Well when you pay someone over 65k per annum their not expected to do anything for it are they. Self centered, self serving bastard. Well that's bought the cost of my team down.
Been through a major audit too, I was supposed to be interviewed, but my scathing attack on the purpose of PwC's audit (basically they are using it as a sales exercise - your processes don't work (based upon thier criteria) therefore you pay us cash to solve it.
Having an interesting time with double metaphone and p/n-grams at the moment, Chinese phoneme's are proving interesting. Ultimatly, I'm going to have to develop a self learning system to record the variations in east asian word repesentation. Well it gives me something better to do in the evening than bothing the missus.
