Went in to work for a bit this morning and was promptly told to go home. my sick note doesn't expire until wednesday so because of insurance I'm not allowed back until then. Its a bit annoying I getting to the point where its too comfortable being at home, plus the pain mangement medication is I think becomming too addictive. I didn't take any this morning cos I didn't want to be wooly headed, but the pain under my ribs is a killer.
Good things about this illness I suppose... I've quit smoking, it just hurts too much and I've lost a stone in weight yehay!!!! My boys at work are doing OK. Got to do a contract termination of Friday... I won't be sad to see this fella go... he's become very tedious since he started in March, bit of a jobs worth and won't talk to his immediate collegue and he seems totally oblivious to the fact that his contract ends. He really didn't do himself anyfavours when I renewed his contract 8 weeks ago and then informed me he was going on a three week holiday... at that point I would have given him the three weeks plus the 8 week extension... in effect he's only ended up with five weeks pay. People eh!!! I also reckon he thinls he so important that I can't let his contract end... Idiot, I run mu team in such a way that there is no single point of failure and that no one I absolulty necessary... hell not even me. The three weeks I've been off so far my boss, 2nd OC and Liason Officer have managed everything (all rightI have been on the phone, email and remoted into work) .
