I am back from my travels down south. Even though we were plagued by all manner of mishaps on public transportation, we managed to get to see Neurosis, who were...

... Great. Sadly however, last time I saw em, they were unbe-fucking-lievable. The set list this time round was a little eccentric. A lot of stuff from Enemy of the Sun and Sovereign which I'm not too familiar with, they kinda peaked second song in with The Doorway and then sorta coasted to the end. Most of the band (Scott Kelly in particular) just didn't seem that into it. That said, a bad Neurosis gig is still better than what 90% of the bands in the world can do on their best day ever, so no complaints.

Back to Edinburgh yesterday to play. I was tired and really not in the mood to play, but we played and it was good. That said, we've been playing the same set now since August and we're all pretty suck of it. I don't think we'll be playing any more gigs until we have a chance to write some new material.

And today, having had about 10 hours sleep in the last 96, I'm off back to work. Pray for me.

i was down the road at the underworld to see Black Cobra, but it finished so early we had time to go and see Neurosis too! i'm not really familiar with their stuff so can't say if it was a good performance or not, but i know i spent a shitload of money on tickets and petrol that night, haha!!

kept my eye out for you, but maybe you were in a disguise or lurking in the shadows?

I dunno, man, I thought the show was pretty awesome, but then again I've never seen them live before, I was in the front row (which I haven't done for a large gig in a long time) and, thanks to a lack of sleep, I was in a somewhat sensitive state. I'll agree that the setlist was somewhat eclectic though, particularly Crawl Back In, which I fucking love. The new material was much heavier than I expected too. What can I say, I'm very easy to please smile
