It's pretty plausible for more Americans to play football.
Being from the South, I know that most guys around here don't know how to skate, rollerblade or skateboard. In much of the South, it's not realistic to do any of those things as a real mode of transportation and it's not stressed socially. To ice skate is nearly unheard of unless the lake freezes over or someone puts together a seasonal rink. The closest ice skating rink to me is over an hour away. It's not that we don't like it, it's just not as relevant.
I tell you all this because I feel your pain but see the issues with hockey becoming the insanely popular sport that football is. I have pictures of my family that immigrated here from Poland ice skating. My grandmother grew up in Brooklyn & was great at it. & by gosh, I wish I had the opportunity to do it more.

I completely agree, A lot of times I find myself trying to show up the people from my high school even though I've never talked to or seen them in years, but there are very many people that are up on top that have gone through the same ordeal or felt the same way. I saw The World End and i must say, it was a very good movie. there wasnt any doubt given the creative team behind it, but it was enjoyable with alot of very good laughs throughout. i highly recommend it for anyone who wants a movie that is serious without taking itself seriously.
