I have to abandon my pile of duvets and blankets and flannels and go fetch a goddamn oven. It's funny how once you've been COLD a long time you can't even remember what comfortable warmth feels like. That was written to be taken at face value, not a poorly veiled emo statement.

It's at times like that I was glad to be deployed in desert locations during the holiday seasons. It looks like this year I'll be spending the first month of the year in Souda Bay, Crete.
