I had a bit of a shock when I tried logging on to Suicide Girls today. Each time I tried logging in, the site kept taking back to the main page but without logging me in. After staring at the "First Time Here..." etc stuff about joining the site for as little as $4 per month which the main page displays to none members, I found myself wondering if my membership had been cancelled somewhere along the way without my realising. Eeek! However, I eventually realised that my browser was rejecting cookies from the login page and hence a few adjustments later and finally I managed to log in. Phew!
Well, what am I up to at the moment? I have been trying to get back into the habit of reading for pleasure. Say what? I used to read all the time but, for a while now, I have been to lazy to read. Its far easier to channel surf on the TV (evil hypnotic one-eyed god of false promises that it is) or to play computer games etc. Having previously read several books from Frank Herbert's Dune series (and having enjoyed them immensely but not having got around to reading the lest few), I finally got it together to read the lest few Dune books. Other than this, I have just bought Millennium Series 3 on DVD. Wahey!
Meanwhile, its time to start thinking about Christmas shopping. Most years I don't buy too far in advance. I often leave it until December to buy presents for everyone. However, I have a week off work later this month, so maybe I'll try to get all of the shopping done then.
Finally, has anyone ever noticed how there is a difference between thinking that someone is good looking and actually feeling turned on by them? When I first joined Suicide Girls, there weren't many girls on the site and when I looked at the photosets from my favourites (such as Echo, Marla and Leia) I not only thought that they were beautiful, I also found that their pictures turned me on. These days, there are hundreds of exquisitely beautiful women on this site and when I look at their pictures, I genuinely feel that they are really pretty and I am glad that I am able to view their pictures, but for some reason their pictures don't seem to turn me on. I realise that it may seem contradictory to say that I think someone is beautiful but that I am not turned on by looking at naked pictures her but it is true!
I do remember reading once that people who look at pornography often, find themselves being less turned on by it. In other words, I have been desensitised by all of these lovely naked babes!! If this trend continues then soon I will be able to look at pictures of naked women without thinking any dirty thoughts at all! Thanks to the sheer abundance of tantalising, nekkid flesh which is lavished upon SG Members by Suicide Girls (and compared to other sites which I have been a member of, SG really does deliver the goods ... those other sites often give you one new set a month if you are lucky), I will be freed from the temptations of the flesh!! (OK I am being very silly now, but I thought it would be amusing to take the thought to its logical conclusion
