So far the festive season has been fun. I have spent the last few days seeing various different family members, exchanging Christmas cards and presents and eating far too much food. Most people bought me beer this year. This is fine with me as I have far too many possessions cluttering up my home and beer is something that I can enjoy but which will be consumed in the process which means it wont take up space in the house. I also received a couple of books ("The King in Yellow" by Robert Chambers and "The Good Terrorist" by Doris Lessing) and, of course, some socks. Tomorrow I will be back in work. I am hoping that a friend will come over on New Year's Eve but that has yet to be confirmed.
