Lets just start by saying that Murphy guy and his law are sure having an effect on my family. As those of you know that know me probably know, my dad went through quite a scare. He had a blood clot in his lower intestine. He had about a foot of removed, and had some heart issues while in the hospital for that. It was one of the scariest times in my life. To see the "rock" of my family laying helpless in a hospital bed is not an easy thing to see. Well, he is home and until today, was doing really well. It seems he has fluid in his stomach and has to have it tapped on Monday. I am not sure if this a really serious thing or not.

So as if that were not enough, thing just keep getting bad... My brother, a police officer, was involved in a shooting that took a life. He sadly had to shoot someone that was armed and posed a threat. I can not imagine what he is going through.

As if that were not enough, my aunt just had surgery done and from what my cousin says is in a great deal of pain. My mom was supposed be there to help take care of here, but can't because of my dads health issues.

All of these things are having quite the effect on my mom. I feel so badly for her. The woman is very emotional to begin with and with all of this going on and me and my brother both being so far away from her she does not have anyone to lean on.

The good news, while all of this is happening, my wife got a new job. I really think this a job she will enjoy. It something that, to me, she was meant to do. This job is almost perfect for her and her future plans. I am so happy for her.

Well, that should about sum up the last month or so of my life...
