last night we went to Lotus of Siam. I tried to order something and received the following response, "You have not ordered that before have you?" "No" I replied. To which the waiter said; "It has a very strong smell, and not a good. you may want to order something else." It really frightens me when a waiter at an ethnic restaurant warns you about something on the menu.

I'm glad you didn't end up with the offending dish. Although I wonder why it's even on the menu if they don't want people to order it? wink
