I'm glad the kitty is getting better. I know how hard it is to have to borrow money. Owing people sucks more than owing say, a bank etc. (at least to me anyway)

One of our cats had a kidney/uti thing not too long ago. giving cats meds is no fun. (the skin she flayed off is finally looking half normal again
) I'm only half kidding lol. But it really makes me sad to hear that most people wouldn't care.

Wow, very well written. I agree with some and not with others. As the wife of an avid gun collector (we don't have ammunition for most of them) I disagree with some factors in your argument. But, the fact that you made them calmly and rationally, makes me way more willing to listen to you than the people who are running around screaming "We need to ban guns." with nothing to back it up besides numbers which are skewed by the people in charge on BOTH sides of the argument. I kind of sit somewhere in the middle on this issue. I was raised with guns in the house, for hunting, for protection and for collection purposes. It's not a black and white issue for me like it is for some and I like that you're not making the argument out to be that easy either. (again, makes me more apt to listen to your reasonings) The only thing that bothers me is that the criminals will ALWAYS be able to get weapons and they don't usually give their ID to a clerk, they're buying them off the street or even in other countries etc. It's sad and it breaks my heart to see things like what happened at Va Tech, Columbine and every other school shooting in between. I know there needs to be some changes in gun laws, I've always known that. And I hope there is a way to come to an agreement. Sadly, I don't see the gun enthusiasts working with people to make a change. Their way of thinking is, "If I submit to this, then it's just the first step to you taking away all my guns" and that is easily the most ridiculous argument around. Like I said, I'm totally on the fence about this one and I really wish more people would be calm and rational in this argument but then, rationality has no place in a hysterical society. Both sides are adamant in their refusal to bend to the other side. There need to be more people like you on each side. Calmly and rationally pointing out their position.

Today has been a nice boring day. I got to watch some hockey and hang out with my wife. It has been so nice. Then our roommate got up...I can't wait until our lease is up so we can find a place to live BY OUR SELVES!!! All in all not a bad day. Hope everyone else is having a good one.

Found out today that I am getting my promotion at work..not sure how much more money at this point but anything more is better than what I am making now... YAY!!!!! On a sad note, one of my literary hero's has died. Best Wish Mr. Vonnegut in your new life...

I spent hours working on the pool with my wife this weekend. There was a horrible water line around the whole the thing. My wife and I scrubbed it with a pumas stone. My arm is so sore. Other than that, it has been a good weekend. Hope yours was good as well.
