So after a long run around this morning... I finally got the lease signed and my keys to the new place around 5:30. I was highly frustrated for a while, but walking through the new place made me feel so much better. That is, until I started unloading my car full of boxes and laundry. Since it was so hot out I was sweating like a burly burly man. Hey, maybe I'll lose all that weight I gained this weekend!
Now that I'm leaving downtown Portland, though, I'm feeling kind of sad. I'll be here for work and school so I shouldn't...but it was awesome living in the city. If only there were more apartments downtown that were up to my standards, and down to my price level. Oh well. I'll be close to Dannypoo and the family now. Not to mention only a couple minutes from the new mall. YESS! So I suppose, the lesson is, you give a little to get a little. I'll be back Portland, don't miss me too badly.
Surprisingly the commute isn't bad at all, either. I was in rush hour traffic today from work to the new place and still got there in 22 minutes. It usually takes about 10 to get from work to the apt. downtown because of stoplights and horrific in-town traffic, so I don't think the commute will kill me.
I'm so excited to show everyone the new place after I get things up and running. I wish I had loads of money to go buy things I want...like lamps. I love lamp.
I did some packing tonight and have made a good amount of progress. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. ITS ABOUT FUCKING TIME!
That's all I've got for now. Work tomorrow, then off to move this weekend. Wish me luck, bitches.
