So, I just got all my comics out to have a gander/pick... I have way more comics than I thought I did, enough to do a shoot with them for sure. Oooooh, pleasant surprise.
1. Watchmen - DC Comics
Okay, to kick things off it's got to be my bible by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. I honestly can't fault it, the atmosphere, the illustration, the writing. It's just a wonderful read with some awesome imagery!
"Amongst the many other things I was trying to say in Watchmen was just that in this world we live in, with all its disparate characters and ambitions there are probably no two people who want the same thing. The world doesn’t work like that anyway. If there’s a central line in Watchmen it’s “Who makes the world?” Then again, that’s just my opinion." - Alan Moore
2. The Wicked and The Divine - Image Comics
This was suggested to me by a cute girl in Waterstones, and it turns out she also has excellent taste in comics. Created by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie, this comic is hilarious and clever. The dialogue is witty throughout and I can't help but fan girl like Laura over it.

3. Sex Criminals
Created by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky, this is an amazing comic. What would you do if having sex meant freezing time? Rob banks, obviously. Amazing imagery, hilarious but meaningful writing. Not to mention that Matt & Chip just crack me up
4.The Coven Dark Sister
I've unfortunately only come across the Dark Sister series, but I'm told Spellcaster is also awesome. Drawn and written by Matt Martin, It's basically some sexy badass bitches fucking shit up. Don't want to see busty girls, covered in blood and guts, fight dinosaurs? You're missing out.
