Well I should have posted this when I got in last night, but a day late will have to do...

The helmet

I have a bit of a bug to bare with people who cycle without helmets, as a good friend of mine was run over by a 6tonne skip truck and lived to tell the tale, and walk again, primarily because of his helmet... So when I saw a very attractive woman cycling down the middle of a two way road in brixton wearing a beret in, the wet, wind and with bags hanging on both sides of the handle bars... I couldnt believe it when she got ahead at a set of traffic lights and the wind took the hat clean off her head into the air and landed as if planned on the windscreen of my car, I popped the window open, pulled over and waited for her to come to me to get it. She was almost as bright red as the beret when she approached and apologised, I insisted that as lovely as the hat was, a helmet is essential wear... she started with the whole "oh but usually I would..." But come on, I wasnt born yesterday! I decided it wasnt worth persuing someone who lived so far away smiled, gave the hat wished her luck and blasted off.

The Sunglasses

The second thing I saw was slightly less impressive but just made me chuckle nevertheless. I was on a tube train and woman get on with a pair of what I should imagine were fake gucci sunglasses (guessing by the tacky hand bag and clothes) and as with most designer glasses they have a little symbol in corner of one of the lenses which says 'G' or something. Well this woman had left the sticker from the shop in the middle of one of the lenses which said GUCCI right where she was trying to look. Clearly not meant to be there... I didn't have the heart to tell her!

The one that got away

Finally, I perhaps let a chance slip away a little when a woman got on the tube on my way home that night. I saw her through the glass of the door before it opened, I smiled, she smiled back, then turned and whispered something in someones ear... No, nope, think worse than that. Not the boyfriend, yeah, the MOTHER. Father got on the train too. How on earth can you say to someone, I'd like to give you my number look me up sometime with their parents there? She was clearly 19-20 but still, personally I didnt think it was the done thing. Anyway she got off at the same stop as me, I delayed as much as I could to try and catch up with her, sadly she went to a different platform afterwards but even from a distance I could see she was looking at me. This is a story I could sadly tell far too often.
