A couple of weeks ago I went an an amazing party just out of London. The people that put on the event are The White Blackbird, and they do a few parties a year, in a country house, in the country...
The theme was tainted love, obviously for valentines day
A couple of my girl friends and I went and dressed up for the occasion, making sure there was a lot of red involved!
The party was a lot of drunken fun. We toasted marshmallows over a bonfire, whilst trying not to get our heels stuck in the wet ground (it had been raining days before)...this is the UK afterall!
We were allowed to roam the grounds, ball room, and most of the hotel was open too, so you just found yourself wandering around. We had a tipple tassle twirling lesson, danced to some love songs, but unfortunately missed the life drawing class, doh!
I will be definiately going back to another one in the future, but to keep me happy, next month I'm taking my friend to our for afternoon tease, where we get to eat cakes, drink tea and watch some very up and personal burlesque.
