Why I'm sitting on my computer in the middle of a lightning storm is just beyond me. I'm probably going to end up frying my computer.
COOKING....
Is grand. Tonight I made two different sauces. a blonde arrabiatta, and my standard red sauce, but with prosciutto.
They both look excellent, but they both also have about two more hours to simmer on them too. I just tasted them both and the first thought that went through my head was "Oh hell yes...." the red one will be outstanding immediately, and the blonde one will sit in my fridge for a day or so, to let everything intermarry...... But it sure is pretty. The crushed red pepper is a nice contrast with the yellow tomatoes..... I can't wait to eat it.... over angel hair(cappellini)garnished with fresh basil served with some fresh focaccia bread.... all this cooking is making me hungry....
LIGHTNING
is one of my most favorite things to see. I'v'e seen all different colors, in all diffrent states around the country... I think my favorite was seeing red lightning while passing through Tennesse several years ago.... It was amazing... the best is when you see lightning and there's no rain.... Indiana is like that..... except the lightning was orange or white there.... there it goes again... another flash outside my window.....
ON THE BREEZE
coming through my window is the sound of traffic in the rain roaring down highland from the 101.... in the distance I can hear a dog barking and an ambulance siren..... it's actually very quiet out tonight.... It's usually much louder..... much. I think the rain has everyone scared. In portland it was snow that everyone would be afraid to drive in. Here it's rain. In SF no one cares, because almost no one drives.... most people ride bikes or take public transit there.... Berkeley and oakland are like that too....... Hmmmmm the dog stopped barking.....
well, I have to get back to the kitchen.....adios

Dark City. It was ok. Got a little cheesy at the end, but it was weird in the middle. I like weird films.
-where was the last place you travelled?
Columbus Ohio. Goth night with some SG people.
-what was the thing you read?
Edward Gibbon's The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire
